A podcast that looks
like a programme

Video-first podcasts for organisations. We plan the show with you, record it on multiple cameras, cut it live, and get every episode out into the world with clips, artwork and reporting. In our studio, hybrid or fully remote.

Why NEXI

Built like television
Run like a system

Every episode goes through the same production process. Our AI-assisted workflow handles the groundwork, and a producer makes every decision that matters.

A storyline for every episode

After each recording we pull up to five possible storylines from the conversation and score each one on how likely it is to land with your audience. You choose, and the title, teaser and clips follow it.

Cut live, on multiple cameras

Every recording is vision-mixed as it happens, with each camera angle kept separately so anything can be fixed afterwards. You are not waiting weeks for an edit.

A teaser on every episode

Each episode opens with a short teaser built from its strongest moments, followed by your intro, the full conversation and a consistent outro.

AI-assisted, human-led

Transcripts, guest research, fact checks and reports are prepared by our AI-assisted workflow, so the producer’s time goes on the conversation and the creative calls.

Where it gets made

Studio, hybrid or remote
All done properly

Our podcast suite is a permanent three-camera set at Crofton Hall, fifteen minutes from Carlisle, with a green room, a production office and free parking outside the door. The set is lit and dressed and stays that way, which is why episode nine looks like episode one.

If you cannot get to Cumbria, we produce fully remote series instead. Recorded over the internet at proper quality with someone on the technical side throughout, so it sounds and looks like a studio record rather than a video call. We use the same method to bring remote guests into studio sessions.

Hybrid works too: your host in the studio and your guest joining from wherever they are, mixed live as one programme.

Recent work

The Edge State
For Tech District Cumbria

The Edge State is Tech District Cumbria’s podcast, hosted by Graham Hadaway: conversations with the businesses putting technology to work in Cumbria and beyond. NEXI produces it end to end, from the show identity and the studio record to everything that goes out with each episode.

Episode 01, AI in Account Auditing, sat down with Bethany Duffy of Grant Thornton UK to talk about moving from sample checks to analysing every transaction, keeping a human in the loop, and what small Cumbrian firms can do with AI today.

  • Show identity and an animated five-second intro with original music
  • Recorded at our studio near Carlisle
  • Episode artwork, show notes and feed copy
  • Released monthly
Questions

The ones we get asked most

Do we have to come to the studio?

No. Most series are recorded here because it is quicker and looks better, but we produce hybrid and fully remote series too, and we send remote guests a simple guide to looking and sounding their best.

Do you supply crew and equipment?

Yes, both. Cameras, lighting, sound and vision mixing come as part of every package, and we crew up from experienced local people rather than importing a team from three hours away.

What does it cost?

Shows are priced per episode and booked by the season. The price depends on the package, how often you release and how long you commit, and longer commitments cost less per episode. We would rather understand what you want the show to do before we quote, so the first step is a discovery call.

How many episodes should we commit to?

A season is at least three months of your show: six episodes if you release monthly or fortnightly, twelve if weekly. Most shows take a few episodes to settle, so we recommend at least one full season, with two to four episodes finished before launch.

How involved do we need to be?

At a few clear points: the discovery call, choosing the storyline for each episode, reviewing the edit and signing it off. We send a clear request each time, with a deadline, and handle everything else.

What do we get to keep?

Your show has its own YouTube channel, which you keep full admin of, and you receive the video and audio masters, transcript, artwork and show notes for every episode.

Starting one yourself?

Not every show needs a studio and a crew. If you are making your first episodes on your own, these are the kits we would buy at three different budgets.

Entry level

Starter kit

A USB microphone, headphones, a webcam and a laptop stand. Enough to find out whether you enjoy it.

Step up

Pro kit

A broadcast-style mic, a podcast mixer, a sharper camera and proper light, for a professional setup at home.

Full setup

Studio kit

Broadcast mics, multiple cameras, a video switcher and proper lighting for a dedicated podcast room.

All three side by side on the podcast kit guides page. Some links are Amazon affiliate links; if you buy through one we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
