{"id":3939,"date":"2014-11-11T13:49:52","date_gmt":"2014-11-11T13:49:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/?p=3939"},"modified":"2016-01-18T12:56:14","modified_gmt":"2016-01-18T12:56:14","slug":"looking-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/2014\/11\/looking-love\/","title":{"rendered":"Looking for love."},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Looking for Love by Amy &#8220;Crusher&#8221; Reid.<\/h1>\n<p>Right, I think I have finally, finally got over the sale of my 110 Defender.<\/p>\n<div>The tears have finally stopped\u2026 except you know&#8230;every time I see another 110.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Anyway, Winter is coming and I\u2019m truckless in a yellow Fiat Punto that is falling apart more and more each day.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Therefore I am on a search, some may even say a mission for the new love of my life\u2026 a new truck.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">My criteria:<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>To get me through the floods &#8211; Living in Worcester right next to the River Severn has it\u2019s problems every winter. I\u2019m not willing to be stuck there again this year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/files\/2014\/11\/Canoeists-from-the-Worcester-Canoe-Club.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3940 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/files\/2014\/11\/Canoeists-from-the-Worcester-Canoe-Club-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Canoeists-from-the-Worcester-Canoe-Club\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/files\/2014\/11\/Canoeists-from-the-Worcester-Canoe-Club-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/files\/2014\/11\/Canoeists-from-the-Worcester-Canoe-Club.jpg 615w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Insurance I can afford &#8211; If you are under 25 getting insured on a 4&#215;4 is a little bit ridiculous. Even from the 4&#215;4 insurance companies and naming Landy groups I&#8217;m part of isn\u2019t enough to get those insurance quotes down to an affordable sum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>MPG &#8211; I do at least 60 miles a day. Spending my wages on petrol isn\u2019t my favourite thing to do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/files\/2014\/11\/25348081.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3941 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/files\/2014\/11\/25348081-251x300.jpg\" alt=\"25348081\" width=\"251\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/files\/2014\/11\/25348081-251x300.jpg 251w, https:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/landroverslive\/files\/2014\/11\/25348081.jpg 380w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 251px) 100vw, 251px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So\u2026I\u2019ve decided against a Defender, a Series and even a Disco. I\u2019m going Freelander.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Now, I know it is a little bit controversial and I will have to remember not to wave to other Landy owners. In fact I told a few of you Landy lovers this\u2026<\/div>\n<div>In fact Andy Fleming from Staffs 4&#215;4 sent me an encouraging \u201chaha pmsl\u201d message when he heard . Why thank you Andy.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So now I am on a mission to get a Freelander TD4 Diesel.<\/div>\n<div>A task which I thought would be easy, I mean I \u00a0have the money ready even insurance quotes that I can afford. I began thinking I would get one within the first week of looking.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>BUT.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Firstly, I can only find petrol Freelanders in my price range.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>There are loads out there\u2026 but Mat refuses to let me buy one and to be honest I don\u2019t really know the difference that much but hey whatever the boss says.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I saw the perfect Freelander, TD4, 2003, Diesel, near where my mum lived.<\/div>\n<div>I got very excited (it was also my birthday) so I went to view it with my mum in tow expecting to drive home with an awesome birthday treat for myself\u2026but \u2026 that was not the Freelander I saw online!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This cheeky chap (It wasn\u2019t my first choice of name) had clearly photoshopped the reg onto different pictures of a much tidier landy.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Freelander I saw online was in brilliant condition; nice black bumpers and not a scratch to be seen on the bodywork. Even had 12 months MOT and a beautifully clean and shiny interior.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>However.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The bumpers were grey, there was a deep scratch down the drivers side, the interior smelt like wet dog and mould. As for the MOT!
