{"id":2116,"date":"2013-04-10T17:50:31","date_gmt":"2013-04-10T17:50:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/filmlive\/?p=2116"},"modified":"2015-04-05T18:06:21","modified_gmt":"2015-04-05T18:06:21","slug":"livestream-unveil-new-control-surface-device-at-nab-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/filmlive\/2013\/04\/10\/livestream-unveil-new-control-surface-device-at-nab-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"New Livestream Live Production Hardware &#8211; NAB 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zO3QxktEzv8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We first met up with <a title=\"Livestream\" href=\"http:\/\/new.livestream.com\" target=\"_blank\">Livestream<\/a> back at IBC <a title=\"Livestream HD500\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nexi.tv\/filmlive\/2012\/09\/17\/livestream-studio-hd500-at-ibc-2012\/\" target=\"_blank\">last year<\/a>, when the company released the <a title=\"Studio HD50\" href=\"http:\/\/store.livestream.com\/pages\/livestream-studio-models\" target=\"_blank\">HD Studio HD500<\/a>, a live production switcher that is portable and can be used to broadcast medium tier events including weddings, sports games and conferences.\u00a0Ben had a long over due catch up with company representative Phil Worthington, who was keen to tell us all about the advances the company has made since IBC.<\/p>\n<p>Livestream have added to the family of products, which only included the HD500 last year. Now, the device is joined by a host of live production switchers &#8211; the HD50, HD900, and HD1700 which can all be viewed on Livestream&#8217;s <a title=\"Livestream Family\" href=\"http:\/\/store.livestream.com\/pages\/livestream-studio-models\" target=\"_blank\">site<\/a>, and are avaliable for pre-order. The range is priced between $6,999 through to $24,999, and has been formulated specifically to appeal to various requirements and budgets. According to Phil, the aim is to democratise live production and make it more accessible for all.<\/p>\n<p>The Livestream Studio range features include HD live Inputs and outputs: HD-SDI, HDMI, Analog and AES EBU Audio; Full field-rate multiview to preview cameras in real time with audio level overlays; live transitions audio mixing and monitoring; overlay, transparency, dynamic text titling, live countdown, picture in picture; two downstream keys; full-res 100 Mbps recording to Blackmagic\u2019s MJPEG AVI; multiformat playback; live streaming encoder for the Livestream platform, YouTube, Ustream and others.<\/p>\n<p>The Control Surface, whose prototype is available to explore at NAB, is to be released in Winter this year, and works with any of the devices in the Livestream range, and features a USB controller.
