Yesterday, the NEXI team travelled to Earl’s Court in London to attend the annual Vitality Show. This show is the UK’s largest health, beauty and wellness event and we were delighted to cover it – especially Billie, who left armed with goody bags.
We then got straight into our first interview, with Fiona Kirk, who presented her talk ‘Big Answers to Fat Loss Questions‘ to event delegates. We caught up with her after her talk, and she was more than happy to tell us about her fab range of books and ideals for people to live a healthier lifestyle. Who would have thought that wheat would have the potential to sabotage your mission to get into your skinny jeans? Fiona’s website Fat Bust Forever offers loads of tips. For those of you who enjoy soup, a tailored advice guide can be found at the quirkily named Souperydupery! For those of you who are interested in Fiona’s healthy tips, follow her on Twitter @fatbustforever
Next up, we cornered The star of The Only Way is Essex, Amy Childs who was promoting her new range of fashion, beauty and fitness products. Naturally, we were interested in her fitness DVD which claims to get you fit in thirty days. Gym Bunnies support long term goals too, and we were pleased to hear that Amy will be taking part in the Virgin London Marathon on the 21st April. She is running to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, and if you fancy supporting her with a donation, check out her Just Giving Page. Amy’s tweets can be followed on Twitter @MissAmyChilds
We then spoke to NJ of Flick Tips, whose company pitched for investment on the UK’s version of Dragon’s Den. She provided a demonstration of these nifty stickers and even gave Billie a pack.
We then headed over to Dr. Marilyn Glenville, who was talking about her new book ‘Fat Around The Middle’. Marilyn has extensive knowledge of nutrition issues, having published numerous books. We were interested in the latest publication since it addresses a problem some of our viewers over at Gym Bunnies have asked for help about. Marilyn addresses the question of why fat builds up around the stomach area and offers a practical action plan for tackling it. Fortunately, Marilyn assured us that regular exercise is as important as healthy eating tactics.
Then it was off for some naughty fun at Vibrator Kingdom. This is the first time a sex toy company has promoted itself at the show and the Founder of the company, Donna was really pleased that pleasure and sexual health was being addressed by Vitality’s organisers. Billie had great fun exploring the product range as you can see in our coverage of the stand! You can tweet Donna @VibratorKingdom
Everyone at Gym Bunnies would like to thank the lovely organisers of the show who were so helpful on the day, we can’t wait to work with you again next year!
The Vitality Show is running until Sunday 24th March 2013.
